This works great as a detangler. It also has a light scent that lasts for quite awhile. Just one small warning, if your dog has allergies or is sensitive to some scents this may leave him or her sneezing for a bit. For me it only lasted the first few minutes. The scent is pleasant and light. It also leaves the coat very shiny.
